Since the fall of 2006, Bobbi Hudson has assisted PSI with a number of on-going applied research projects, serving primarily as a writer and researcher for progress and final reports. Bobbi also conducts field research for PSI's projects involving interactions of shellfish culture with the natural environment, organic pollutants, and disease and environmental stress studies of shellfish. She is also involved in PSI's pet waste education campaign, and a multi-faceted project evaluating the benefits and costs of shellfish in Washington State. Bobbi’s primary research interests include aquaculture interactions with the natural environment, and public education and involvement with marine clean-up and conservation efforts.
Bobbi has conducted numerous field operations in a wide variety of marine and freshwater environments, and maintains a number of safety certifications related to on-water work. Bobbi previously served as a fisheries technician with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Arizona, and has performed commercial shellfish work in Puget Sound and commercial fish packing in SE Alaska. Bobbi also spent three years as a public information officer for the state of Washington.
Bobbi holds a Bachelors of Science and a Masters of Environmental Science from The Evergreen State College.
