Executive Director, Kristin Rasmussen

Kristin Rasmussen serves as PSI's Executive Director, managing research studies and general operations of the Institute. Kristin participates in study design, coordination, evaluation, and reporting for research and outreach projects, and works closely with shellfish farmers and harvesters, researchers, and regulatory personnel in the region. Kristin’s background is in international water resource management and environmental conflict resolution.

Prior to joining PSI, Kristin worked for the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) National Sea Grant Office in Silver Spring, MD, where she assisted in program management and served as external relations and regional research coordinator.

Kristin holds a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Oregon and a Masters of Arts in International Development from American University in Washington, D.C.
